While visiting Berlin in 1963, John F. Kennedy gave his famous "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" speech. The phrase means "I am a Berliner" and the speech was intended to rally a divided Berlin against communist leadership. Due to false reports, there is long standing myth that JFK misspoke, and actually called himself a jelly donut!
